skin care ingredients

all skin care products have the same base of jojoba oil, cacao butter, coconut & olive oil.

jojoba: the skin recognizes jojoba remarkably similarly to sebum; the skin’s moisturizing oil. yet jojoba is actually a liquid plant wax which means it’s impossible to go rancid — hello nature’s preservative! jojoba also effectively eliminates rancid-radicals from the skin, giving a deep cleansing + conditioning action. this is why i love using jojoba oil as a carrier for essential oils, perfumes, and herbal infusions.

“Organic jojoba oil has traditionally been sued to moisturize skin & hair, stimulate hair growth, unclog blocked follicles, clear acne, reduce the appearance of wrinkles, and treat dandruff. Jojoba oil regulates skin oil production, making it especially beneficial for people with acne. It offers bountiful beauty benefits for skin, hair and nails. It can be used as a moisturizer, cleanser, shaving lotion, aftershave, body oil, makeup remover, scar treatment, stretch-mark minimizer, cuticle moisturizer, hair conditioner, sunburn soother, and dry scalp buster. ~ Nadine Artemis, Renegade Beauty Natural Beauty Book

cacao butter: the ancient sacred creamy fat of chocolate beans. pressed with raw, organic, heirloom cacao beans. this valuable butter is one of the most antioxidant-rich oils discovered, cacao is a true superfood. let it infuse every fold with beneficial antioxidants & give the aroma of a chocolate delight!

coconut oil: cold-pressed, virgin coconut oil delivers healthy fats knowns as medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs). these essential fatty acids are effective antimicrobials, antibacterials, and antifungal agents. one of the MCTs called lauric acid is the most powerful antiviral plant source and its highest concentration is in the fat of coconuts. these precious oils not only moisturize but also clean deep and protect cell structure.

in sanskrit (language of ancient India), coconut palm is known as kalpa vriksha, meaning “the tree that supplies all that is needed to live.”
olive oil: liquid gold to the ancient Greeks, they believed the tree’s 1000 year lifespan was where the olive’s life-giving longevity was rooted in. mediterranean cultures know of it’s healing skincare potential. Greek philosopher Democritus who lived over 100 years attributed his health to bathing his insides in honey and exterior in olive oil. another centenarian (lived to 122) Jeanne Calmest, claimed her daily doses of olive oil over her skin boosted her longevity.

“olive oil is opulent in essential amino acids (proteins) squalene, flavonoids, anti-inflammatory polyphenols of oleocanthal, vital antioxidants, and vitamins a, K, C and E.” ~ Nadine Artemis, Renegade Beauty Natural Beauty Book
